Insiders Claim Selena Gomez’s Mum Mandy Teefey Was ‘Shattered’ Over Wedding Day Decision
Whilst everyone has been swooning over the dreamy pics from Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco‘s nuptials, rumour has it that her mother was thrown into a tizzy following a major decision the actor made ahead of her wedding day.

After months upon months of speculation, Selena and Benny officially announced that they’ve tied the knot via a series of sweet, sweet wedding photos on Instagram.
But if there’s anything we know about weddings, it’s that there’s bound to be some kind of drama somewhere.
Well, according to Daily Mail, Selena’s mother, Mandy Teefey, felt “shattered” after the Only Murders In The Building star didn’t pick her to walk her down the aisle.
“Selena’s mother and her stepfather Brian were shattered she didn’t choose her mother to walk her down the aisle,” an insider told the publication.
“In a shock move, she chose her grandfather, David [Cornett], to give her away to Benny”.
The insider added that Selena “knew [the decision] would create a problem” and that she “didn’t tell her mother for almost a month”.
“While she loves her mother and Brian, she sat them down and explained why she’d come to her decision and what a privilege it would be for her grandfather. This is something she believes he deserves more than anyone else,” the insider claimed.
Another insider claimed that Mandy’s “unpredictability” was the reason behind Gomez’s decision.
“Mandy can sometimes be a loose cannon,” the source claimed.
“And that’s partly the reason Selena didn’t choose her.”
Of course, with the wedding ~literally~ taking place over the weekend, neither Selena, Benny, nor her family have confirmed this tea. So, as per usual, please take it with a grain of salt.
But honestly, I don’t expect the Wizards of Waverly Place to spill on the dramatic/messy deets of her wedding anytime soon.
In the recent IG post — jam-packed with dreamy, whimsical photos of the pair — the actor revealed that they officially said “I do” on September 27.
Not many details have been confirmed about what went down at the wedding. However, rumour has it that the guest list was completely star-studded, featuring some of our famous faves, including Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey.
