What’s Going On With The D’Amelio Family? Charli, Money Rumours & Marc’s Response Explained

In the year 2026 I did not expect there to be this much tea about the D’Amelio family that didn’t have to do with a TikTok dance but here we are.

Fresh rumours swirling online have suggested a serious rift between Charli D’Amelio and her parents, Marc and Heidi, with claims involving missing money and fractured relationships. The situation has quickly escalated from gossip to something far more concerning.

So, where did D’Amelio family drama all start?

The latest drama kicked off after gossip account Deuxmoi published a report claiming the family had been “rocked” by a financial dispute.

According to the post, Charli allegedly discovered “millions of dollars had been transferred out of accounts” that were set up while her parents were managing her career. The same claims suggest the money was meant for her savings and that the situation has caused a “major rift” within the family, with Dixie reportedly siding with their parents.

As always with Deuxmoi, it’s important to remember these are unverified claims. Still, the internet ran with it and things escalated quickly once Marc stepped in.

Marc D’Amelio shuts the rumours down, sort of

Marc didn’t exactly take a “no comment” approach. Instead, he jumped straight into the comments section to deny everything.

“This is not true,” he wrote.

“We love Charli but she is being manipulated and I have the receipts. Over the last six years we have remained silent and never addressed gossip but the time has come to set the record straight,” he continued.

When asked outright if he and Heidi had taken money from Charli, Marc responded, “absolutely not”.

He also pushed back on the idea that they had full control over her finances, writing: “She’s always had a team in place lawyers, business manager, manager agent. We purposely set it up that way. Not sure if you know anything about our family, but we were doing fine before TikTok.”

Marc later expanded on his side during an Instagram Live and it got a bit more emotional.

During the livestream, he claimed that Charli was being influenced by her business manager, alleging the person viewed her as a “cash cow”. He also said he had always tried to “protect” his daughters and help them make decisions that would benefit their long-term careers.

“Going through this process was never about money, it was always about having this crazy awesome experience with my family,” he said. “And as far as stealing money, if anything, I’m owed money.”

He also shared a pretty telling detail about where things currently stand between him and Charli: “Do you know how I communicate with my daughter, Charli? Through her lawyer, Joe.”

“We’re destroyed, man. We’re freaking devastated. We want Charli back. We love her,” he added.

This didn’t come out of nowhere

While this all feels very sudden, there have been whispers about tension in the family for a while now.

Back in March, the Daily Mail published claims that Charli had distanced herself from her parents, with one source alleging, “They seemed really toxic and pushed her to work so much. Her parents treated her like a cash cow.”

The same source also claimed Marc and Heidi were “extremely fame-hungry” and were trying to build their own public profiles alongside Charli’s rise.

Charli has also not posted with her parents or her sister Dixie on her TikTok this year and does not appear to follow either of her parents.

The Dancing With The Stars alum hasn’t directly addressed any of the allegations.

She did, however, post a TikTok shortly after the rumours picked up, featuring a teary-eyed photo of herself with the caption: “i’ll be back dancing later i’m depressed leave me alone.”
