DoDo is longing for an escapist Italian summer – aren’t we all!

DoDo – Days Like This

Remember that bit in Sally Rooney’s Normal People, where Connell and Marianne wander around a small Italian town eating ice cream, and it feels for a few moments like nothing really matters? That’s pretty much the energy that DoDo is tapping into with the latest chapter in its summer SS26 campaign, A Journey of Emotions (think: Mediterranean sunlight, basking in the present, and, yes, the odd glistening gold chain).
Founded in 1994, the jewellery brand DoDo is born out of an avant-garde Milanese spirit, with dashes of Mauritius (AKA the island where the dodo thrived until its untimely demise) and an open, inclusive approach. In chapter two of the campaign – subtitled Days Like This – the focus lies on its signature charms, including gold silhouettes of starfish and the eponymous extinct bird.

Shot by photographer Brett Lloyd, the accompanying campaign comprises snapshots from a summer trip to a sleepy seaside village, foregrounding the deep friendships and unforgettable rituals that form over time, in moments of calm and sun-soaked escapism.

Against coastal landscapes, three brand new creations take centre stage: the Sea Turtle, the Jellyfish, and the Fish. These sea-inspired charms, which build on the brand’s existing symbolic universe, are reinterpreted via fine craftsmanship and precious detailing, in the form of diamonds and coloured gemstones. Fashioned from 18K yellow gold, they sit snugly alongside the brand’s previous charms, while paying homage to the unique, warm glow of the Italian sun.
Life isn’t all beaches and bike rides, though. For Milan Fashion Week, DoDo returned to its home city for “La Sosta”, an “elevated pitstop” at the iconic wine shop-turned-wine bar Enoteca Cotti. Take a look at what went down in the video below.
