Extraordinary untold story of how Taylor Swift’s wedding decor was burned to the ground: Insider reveals how every last piece of her MSG set was sent to secret location… with an order not to leave ‘any trace’

When Taylor Swift tied the knot with Travis Kelce in a breathtaking setting surrounded by lush greenery and over a thousand of their closest family and friends, the fairytale ceremony looked like something straight out of one of her romantic music videos.
The setting was so evocative and the vows so moving that friends later revealed it even brought the groom to tears.
A-list stars, including Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez, Gigi Hadid and Julia Roberts looked on as Adam Sandler officiated the wedding inside Madison Square Garden (MSG), which had been transformed into the whimsical forest wonderland of the bride’s imaginings.
It could not have been more picture-perfect.
But, hours after the champagne had flowed and guests danced to the dulcet tones of Grammy winners like Stevie Nicks, the crew that built this magical setting moved in. They packed up every stick of the millions of dollars worth of custom-made decor that had taken months to create and quietly transported it all away.
Where did it all go? The Daily Mail has exclusively learned it was all allegedly shipped out of New York to Pennsylvania – and burned to the ground.
The Daily Mail has exclusively learned that Taylor Swift’s team allegedly ordered all of the design builds for her wedding to burned to the ground, according to a source
Swift and Travis Kelce, seen here when they got engaged in August 2025, tied the knot less than a year later in a multimillion dollar wedding held at Madison Square Garden on July 3
In an extraordinary move, the Daily Mail has been told, Swift’s team allegedly ordered workers to ‘dispose’ of all of the decorations, leaving no trail behind.
‘They didn’t want people to steal it and then auction it or sell it so they just burned it all,’ a source claimed to the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.
The team’s concerns about reselling or auctions were not far-fetched, given that Swifties surrounded the venue all week long back in July in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the wedding decor or, better still, snagging any stray trinket of it.
Die-hard fans who staked out MSG’s perimeters late into the night were rewarded with gifted leftover desserts from the bride and groom’s catering company.
But when it came to the backdrop for her wedding extravaganza, Swift’s team allegedly insisted that there could not be ‘any traces’ left.
The builds, which consisted of custom, Colosseum-like walls, fake trees, fabrics with forest graphics printed on them, a faux greenhouse structure that was 35 feet tall, a peach-colored tent for games and more, were allegedly taken to Pennsylvania.
Rock Lititz, a campus in Lititz, Pennsylvania that consists of rehearsal studios where artists often prepare their sets for tours, had been one of the sites where the builds took place in anticipation of the big day.
The exact location of the alleged burn site is unknown.
The Daily Mail exclusively obtained renderings and photos earlier this week that showed the design plans for Swift and Kelce’s big day
The one-of-a-kind builds, like the structure above that has the couple’s first initials on it, were custom-made for Swift and Kelce
The photo above depicts one of the structures that was meant to mimic a Colosseum-style wall, according to a source
A source claimed to the Daily Mail that some builds were created to look like concrete
Photos exclusively obtained by the Daily Mail showed some of the decor being constructed in a West Coast workshop
Swift’s team allegedly wanted to incinerate the wedding materials because ‘they didn’t want people to steal it and then auction it or sell it,’ according to a source
‘They had told us it was going to be incinerated, but I don’t know where they actually physically incinerated it,’ the insider said.
The Daily Mail contacted Swift’s representatives for comment on the alleged ‘burn’ request but did not receive a response.
The source claimed that Swift herself did not directly give the instruction.
‘The fact that no one has relics of it and it all had to get burned and properly disposed of is kind of crazy,’ the insider claimed.
The wedding design process started long before Swift and Kelce said ‘I do,’ as the Daily Mail was told the designs were constructed for months on the West Coast and then transported to the East Coast in 11 semi-trucks for the big day.
The source said it’s not unusual for large sets to be transported across the country but found 11 trucks to be excessive and ‘pretty crazy.’
Swift and Kelce’s custom wedding decor cost millions to create, per the Daily Mail’s source
After the wedding, workers were allegedly instructed to pack up every single thing again and ship it to Pennsylvania, where it would allegedly be destroyed
Paparazzi captured dozens of workers packing and unpacking the decor outside MSG
The wedding materials were reportedly transported in 11 semi-trucks
Rock Lititz, a campus that serves as a site for artists to prep large sets for tours, was where Swift’s team had originally built out several of the wedding designs for practice purposes
‘They were super packed,’ the source said. ‘Eleven semi-trucks to transport cross-country and then just burn it all down was pretty wild just because you don’t want people [to have access to it].’
For the past three months, Swift has been able to keep many of the details of her wedding under wraps – including what her dress and reception looked like.
However, the Daily Mail exclusively obtained renderings earlier this week that showed the design plans for Swift and Kelce’s big day.
A source told us that Swift was heavily involved in every step of the process as she ‘didn’t want to just be handed a wedding. She wanted to participate in the planning and design of it all.’
But, the insider said, the Love Story songstress was no ‘bridezilla’ and was, instead, a joy to work with.
‘She was super nice. Super sweet. Very friendly. She took time to acknowledge all the hard work that everybody was doing. She was very appreciative,’ the source said.

Staff reportedly also found Kelce, 37, to be very easy-going and laid-back.
‘He would chime in every now and then but most of his comments were pretty minor,’ the insider said before adding of the couple’s dynamic: ‘We saw them smiling together. That was cute.’
Following their big day, the newlyweds continued the celebrations with a mini-honeymoon getaway to the exclusive Yellowstone Club resort in Montana.
Then, it was quickly back to work for Kelce, who had to go off to NFL training camp and has since hit the ground running alongside the Kansas City Chiefs.
For her part, Swift has been every inch the supportive wife, cheering Kelce on from the Arrowhead Stadium suites. And she’s found time to delve into projects of her own.
She recently dropped the chart-topping single Patient Zero which was released as part of The Encore, a deluxe edition of her album The Life of a Showgirl.
