Insiders Claim Chloe Fineman Clashed With SNL Peers Before Exit

Saturday Night Live (SNL) has been rocked with another shock departure from one of its modern legends, Chloe Fineman. However, insiders have claimed that the comedian had some rocky relationships before announcing her exit.
In a bittersweet Instagram post, shared on July 16, Fineman confirmed her exit from the comedy sketch series, describing her time on the show as the “greatest privilege of my life”.
“After 7 wonderful seasons at SNL, I have decided it’s time for my next chapter,” she penned.
“I still can’t really believe I got to be a part of it. I fell in love with the place the second I walked through the door.”
While Fineman has spent yonks with the cast, insiders have claimed that she didn’t get along with some of her co-stars while forming close friendships with others.
“Chloe could rub people the wrong way at times,” the insider told Page Six.
“She got along really well with some cast members, but not everyone clicked with her.”
The insider also claimed that some of her SNL peers “felt like she expected people to accommodate her and assumed everyone would adjust to her schedule and preferences” but assured the publication that “it wasn’t some huge feud”.
While a representative for the comedian has yet to respond to these rumours, another source who claims to be close to the sketch series said: “There’s no truth to this”.

Why is Chloe Fineman leaving Saturday Night Live?
Fineman didn’t specify any particular reason for leaving the beloved comedy series. However, she did note in her lengthy IG statement that “it does feel like the right time”.
“It’s really hard to leave SNL, but it does feel like the right time,” she penned.
“I’m going to miss it a lot. But the people who work there are my family, and that place is my home, and I know I’ll never be too far away.”

Fineman’s farewell to the show was flooded with messages of support and congratulations from fellow celebs, friends and fans.
“Congrats Carlotaaaa,” Marcello Hernández commented.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you… Gatdamn it, you make me laugh. We’ll all be waiting to see where this river takes you,” Walton Goggins wrote.
“CHLOE !!! Your SNL characters were always the perfect blend of clueless & unhinged. So excited for your very bright future,” Reese Witherspoon commented.
“You’ve made us all laugh so hard for so many years! Excited for what you’ll do next,” Natalie Portman wrote.

Fineman made her SNL debut in 2019 in the show’s 54th season and is the first SNL star to announce their exit ahead of the 52nd season.
In April, the comedian, alongside Vanity Fair, was embroiled in controversy after she recalled a story about “pantsing a boy” while working as a summer camp counsellor at age 16.
Viewers slammed the comedian for the story, describing it as “disturbing” and inappropriate”, and others even accused her of “sexual assault”.
It was then pointed out that Vanity Fair has reportedly removed details from the story, including the child’s age and her claim that his “little ding-a-ling was out”. She has yet to respond to the scrutiny she faced over the interview.
