Hacks is officially wrapping up, which means no more Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) insults to emotionally damage us into being better people. But the good news is the cast are booked and busy, so you can absolutely keep stalking them across your streaming services like a normal, well-adjusted fan.
Here’s where to watch the Hacks legends next, plus some back catalogue essentials if you’re not ready to let them go.
Jean Smart
Okay so, the only thing that I can see Jean Smart doing on her IMDb upcoming roles is voicing a mini series called Seattle, A History in Short Stories. And while I love a good history lesson, I thought we could do a different one by going down memory lane on Smart’s greatest hits. You must watch the 80s sitcom Designing Women, where Smart met her late-husband Richard Gilliland. You also need to watch Mare of Easttown — a detective series that earned her Emmy and Screen Actors Guild nominations, I mean could it be anymore obvious?!
Hannah Einbinder

Our chaos angel Hannah Einbinder is jumping to the opposite end of the spectrum of genres as she gets ready to star alongside Gillian Anderson in the slasher horror film Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma following the end of Hacks. If you want more of Hannah’s hee hee ha ha vibe then you can watch her comedy special Hannah Einbinder: Everything Must Go on Binge!
Megan Stalter

It is a true tragedy that we have to sya goodbye to the diva that is Kayla Schaefer aka Megan Stalter. If you didn’t know, Meg actually rose to fame on TikTok, so you can still catch her signiture funniness on her account which you need to follow immediately. She was also in Too Much on Netflix — Lena Dunham‘s show that is in my opinion an homage to Girls but set in London and with a toxic wannabe musician boyfriend instead of a toxic wannabe actor boyfriend. A must watch! Meg has also expanded her talents to the music world with her new single “Prettiest Girl in America”. Thank God!!
On top of all that, Meg is now taking over Broadway as the new star of Oh, Mary!, Cole Escola’s chaotic First Lady fever dream. I can’t wait!
Paul W. Downs

Hacks co-creator Paul W. Downs has been doing double duty as both writer and director behind the scenes and Jimmy on screen, and that’s not slowing down post-finale. Along with Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky, he’s continuing his run as one of the key comedy brains at Max, with more projects in development beyond Hacks.
Outside the show, Downs has a solid back catalogue you can dig into right now. He co-wrote and co-starred in the 2017 film Rough Night, a dark bachelorette-party comedy headlined by Scarlett Johansson. He also made his name in the alt-comedy space with Broad City, serving as a writer and recurring actor on the much-loved series about two dysfunctional New York besties. More recently, he’s popped up in places like RuPaul’s Drag Race as a guest judge and in the industry satire The Studio, so keep an eye out for his jokes AND his face out and about!
Carl Clemons-Hopkins

If you’re grieving Marcus’ perfectly tailored suits, Carl Clemons‑Hopkins has plenty of work to binge while you work through it. They made their Broadway debut in the world premiere of The Balusters in spring 2026, a new play that went on to be Tony-nominated, so theatre kids can officially be smug they saw them first. On screen, they’re attached to upcoming projects like Via Negativa, listed in post‑production, and true‑crime title Casual Encounters: Philadelphia True Crime Confessions.
For homework, start with their film work. They appear in Nia DaCosta’s Candyman as Jameson, bringing a weary humanity to the art‑world horror and they also pop up in toy‑industry satire The Beanie Bubble as Jeremy.
Kaitlin Olson

Deborah’s chaotic daughter DJ Vance may specialise in bad decisions, but Kaitlin Olson’s career choices are honestly incredible right now. She currently leads ABC drama High Potential playing Morgan, “a single mum with three kids and an exceptional mind” who helps cops crack a supposedly unsolvable case. It’s kind of cheesy but I’m lowkey obsessed. Olson also serves as a producer on the series, because of course she does.

You already know her as Dee Reynolds from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where she’s spent years perfecting the art of playing a deeply unserious, morally questionable mess. Recent film work includes Champions, where she stars opposite Woody Harrelson in a basketball comedy about a minor‑league coach ordered to work with a Special Olympics team. She also turns up in Netflix comedy feature Incoming as Ms Nielsen and I recently saw her play a frenemy in the classic rom‑com Leap Year which everyone needs to rewatch.
Poppy Liu

If Kiki is your emotional support degenerate, you’re in luck. Poppy Liu has been quietly building one of the most interesting résumés in the cast. On the animation front, they voice Snake in The Tiger’s Apprentice and Butler in the upcoming adaptation of kids’ favourite Dog Man. They’re also listed to star in I Love Boosters in 2026 and the intriguingly titled project What the Fck Is My Password?*, currently in post‑production.
You can also catch them stealing scenes across prestige TV. Liu plays Greta in the 2023 Dead Ringers series, appears as Sarah Weber in Netflix thriller No Good Deed, and shows up in Space Cadet as Nadine Cai. They’ve been busy in genre TV too, with roles in Tales of the Walking Dead, History of the World, Part II and American Born Chinese, where they play Princess Iron Fan. Basically, if you start spotting them everywhere now, that’s not confirmation bias — they really are everywhere.
Christopher Briney

If you did not expect to see Conrad Fisher pop up in the Hacks universe, you are absolutely not alone. Christopher Briney joins the series in 2026 as Nico Hayes, which did wonders for anyone who’s been emotionally held hostage by The Summer I Turned Pretty for the last few years.
In terms of where to watch him next, Briney is keeping his long‑term relationship with Amazon very much alive. He’s set to star in Clashing Through the Snow, a comedy feature and of course he’ll also reprise his role as Conrad Fisher in The Summer I Turned Pretty: The Movie, which continues Jenny Han’s hit YA romance story in big‑screen form.
For must‑watch past work, you’ve got a few key stops. First is obviously The Summer I Turned Pretty series on Prime Video. There’s also the 2024 Mean Girls musical film, where he steps into the role of Aaron Samuels.
Mark Indelicato

If Damien is your favourite stressed‑out assistant on Hacks, you’ve already met Mark Indelicato. He’s played Deborah’s long‑suffering right hand since season one, turning what could’ve been a background role into a quietly lethal deadpan presence. Outside of the show, he’s been busy shifting between rom‑coms, drama and a bit of horror for good measure.
Most people first fell for him as Justin Suarez on Ugly Betty, the fashion‑obsessed nephew of Betty who basically grew up on screen across 85 episodes. That role cemented him as a queer TV icon if I do say so myself. Since then, he’s starred as Jorge Diaz Jr. in Prime Video’s romantic dramedy With Love, following an intergenerational Latinx family through holidays and milestones, and he’s led the queer rom‑com She’s the He as Davis, which was an inclusive spin on the genre.
Christopher McDonald

Christopher McDonald has perfected one very specific lane: men who absolutely insist on being a problem. In Hacks, he appears as Marty, the casino boss and on‑again, off‑again presence in Deborah’s professional and personal life. If you feel like you’ve seen him in everything, it’s because you more or less have.
On the big screen, he’s been part of some major titles. He’s known for roles in films like Requiem for a Dream, Thelma & Louise, The Perfect Storm, Quiz Show and, of course, the Adam Sandler classic Happy Gilmore, where he plays unforgettable golf villain Shooter McGavin. He continued that legacy by returning as Shooter in Happy Gilmore 2.
As brutal as it is to say goodbye to Hacks, the upside is that this cast is not disappearing from our screens any time soon!
