Trump supporters raise $51 million

Trump spokesman Taylor Budovic announced on Twitter that the political committees supporting former US President Donald Trump raised $51 million in donations in the second half of 2021.

“Donald Trump’s political committees have over $122 million in cash after collection, and over $51 million between July 1 and December 31, 2021,” Budovic wrote.

The announced amount means that the pace of fundraising has slowed compared to the first half of the year, when Trump supporters raised $56 million.

Trump had promised at a rally of his supporters in Texas that his Republican partners would win majorities in both houses of Congress in the November midterm elections.

In the run-up to the midterm elections, Trump has already backed nearly 100 candidates across the country, from those vying for seats to state representatives and senators, according to media reports.
He also gave away some of his money by writing checks to the candidates he supported.
