China refuses to exclude Russia from the G20

Speaking about the idea of Russia being excluded from the G20, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that the Russian Federation is an important part of the G20, and no member of the G20 has the right to deprive another country of membership.

“The G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation and Russia is an important member of it,” the spokesperson said at the press conference.

Earlier, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the United States is studying with its allies the issue of excluding Russia from the Group of Twenty.
