Creating sneakers that grow with the child

The new development will help parents save money on children’s shoes, and sneakers and boots can go up to three sizes and extend their life, The Guardian writes,

Shoes that grow with a child Invented by mother of many children and businesswoman Giroud Doddell, the woman intends to save parents from having to change their children’s shoes every season.

The product line will include sneakers and boots that increase as the child’s feet grow.

“Our goal is to make shoes that can expand by at least three sizes and thus double the life span of any shoe,” said the businesswoman.

“It will be possible to change the size with a lock on the product, and we also plan to add several insoles to one model.”

Shoe manufacturers are now choosing a material for the sole and a sliding mechanism that helps to securely hold the desired length of the foot.

The product will go on sale in 2023.
