Announcing the results of the Al-Fanjari Endowment competition for the Award for Service to Dawah and Islamic Jurisprudence
The Supreme Committee for the Endowment of the late Counselor Dr. Muhammad Shawqi Al-Fanjari announced, in favor of serving Islamic advocacy and jurisprudence, headed by Counselor Musaad Abdel Maqsoud Al-Fakharani, Chairman of the State Lawsuits Authority, Superintendent of the Endowment, and the membership of Dr. Shawqi Ibrahim Allam, "Mufti of Egypt",  Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hodhud, “Former President of Al-Azhar University,” Dr. Ahmed Fouad Pasha, “Former Vice President of Cairo University,” Dr. Abdullah Abdel Fattah Al-Tatawi, “Former Vice President of Cairo University,” Dr. Muhammad Mahmoud Abu Hashim, Vice President of Al-Azhar University, Counselor Muhammad Hassan Muhammad, Vice President of the Authority – Secretary-General, Counselor Sameh Sayed Muhammad, Vice President of the Authority – Rapporteur of the Supreme Endowment Committee.
After discussion and deliberation, it resulted in the following result:
First: On the topic: Climate changes in the balance of Islamic jurisprudence. The Supreme Endowment Committee decided the following:
A – Withholding the distinguished award: amounting to 20,000 pounds (“twenty thousand pounds”).
B – The winner of the original award, amounting to 10,000 pounds (“ten thousand pounds”). She is “ Asmaa Ahmed Ibrahim Faragallah – “Lecturer at the Faculty of Commerce – Business Administration – Al-Azhar University.
C – The winners of the discretionary award, amounting to 7,000 pounds, “seven thousand pounds.” For every winner, they are" Dr. Marwa Fathi Al-Sayed Al-Baghdadi – Assistant Professor – Head of the Department of Economics and Public Finance – The Egyptian Institute of Alexandria Academy, Mahmoud Abdel Moez Abdel Rahman Sayed – Imam, preacher, and teacher.
D – Winners of the incentive prize of 5,000 pounds " Five thousand pounds" For each winner, they are Dr. Hatem Mustafa Muhammad Abu Saida – Lecturer at the Faculty of Arabic Language – Al-Azhar University – Menoufia Branch, Dr. Sayed Hassan Abdullah Hassan – Professor of Public Law – Faculty of Sharia and Law – Al-Azhar University – Assiut branch, Hassan Sayed Muhammad Hussein – imam, preacher and teacher, Dr. Bassem Shehata Ali Al-Barbari – teacher at the Faculty of Islamic Studies – Al-Azhar University – Desouk branch, Dr. Masoud Abboud Abdel Moneim Orabi – teacher of comparative jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University, Dr. Adel Muhammad Abu Al-Haytham – senior Imams in the Endowments – holds a doctorate in interpretation and Qur’anic sciences.
Second: On the topic: Renewing the reformist advocacy discourse in the approach of Sheikh Al-Shaarawi. The Supreme Endowment Committee decided the following:
A – Withholding the distinguished prize: amounting to 20,000 pounds (“twenty thousand pounds”).
B – The winner of the original award, amounting to 10,000 pounds (“ten thousand pounds”) He " Dr. Hamada Rabie Abdel-Hakim Abdel-Rahim – Assistant Professor – Faculty of Arts – Minya University – Department of Islamic Studies.
C – The winners of the discretionary prize amounting to 7000 pounds “seven thousand pounds” For each winner, two " Dr. Randa Muhammad Abdel Rahman Mahmoud – Head of Research at the Plant Protection Research Institute, Dr. Mahmoud Ali Ali Ahmed Baraya – Lecturer at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion and Da’wah in Mansoura – Al-Azhar University.
D – Winners of the incentive prize of 5,000 pounds (five thousand) pound" For each winner, they are Dr. Khalaf Muhammad Metwally Nassar – Assistant Professor – Faith and Contemporary Schools – at the Islamic University of Minnesota, Abrar Sayed Hassan Abdullah – Holder of a Bachelor of Sharia and Law, Dr. Muhammad Fathi Farag Bayoumi – Professor at Menoufia University – Faculty of Science – Department of Zoology.
The Supreme Committee of the Endowment decided to distribute the prizes as described above, and authorized Counselor Musaad Abdul Maqsoud Al-Fakharani, Chairman of the Authority and Superintendent of the Endowment, to determine the date and manner of delivering the prizes to the winners, which His Excellency decided At a later time, the date and place of handing over the awards will be announced in all media outlets and on the Authority’s website on the international information network, after the end of the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday. May God bring it back to our beloved Egypt and the Arab and Islamic nation with goodness, Yemen and blessings.
