Chinese stocks close mixed at the start of the week

BEIJING, APRIL 15/WAM/ Chinese stock indices closed mixed at the end of trading today.

The Hang Seng Index on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange fell by 0.72 percent, equivalent to 121.23 points, to reach the level of 16,600.46 points.

On the other hand, the SSI Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange rose by about 1.26 percent, or 37.9 points, to reach 3,057.38 points.
