637 legal consultations for businessmen and investors in Ras Al Khaimah’s economy during the first quarter
Ras Al Khaimah, April 21 / WAM / The Legal Affairs Office at the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah completed 637 free legal consultations for businessmen and investors during the first quarter of 2024, through the department’s website or in person.
Through the “Customer Grievances Committee,” the office resolved 389 grievances regarding commercial control and protection procedures and other miscellaneous grievances.
As for the contracts of commercial companies certified by it, the number reached 176 contracts, and 552 judicial requests from the various local and federal judicial authorities were received, and the rate of handling complaints received reached 100%, amounting to 44 complaints. Ahmed Al-Masah – the legal expert – said that the department applies governance standards in managing and exercising its powers in order to establish the principle of neutrality, fairness and transparency towards investors by considering customers’ grievances regarding regulatory procedures, fines and penalties imposed on their economic establishments, and considers requests to object to the assignment or disposition of commercial licenses that are imposed on them. Complaints related to the trade name and requests for suspension and freeze of commercial licenses are submitted during the scheduled deadline for announcement, in addition to issuing decisions and recommendations that contribute to providing solutions and policies that address obstacles and administrative problems facing the customer public.
