The UAE, Iraq, Turkey and Qatar sign a cooperation agreement in… "Development Road Project"

Baghdad, April 22 / WAM / The UAE, Iraq, Turkey and Qatar signed a four-way memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the Strategic Development Road Project.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding was witnessed by Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today in Baghdad.

The memorandum of understanding was signed on the UAE side by His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, on the Iraqi side by Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis, on the Turkish side by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulqadir Oraloglu, and on the Qatari side by Minister of Transportation Jassem bin Saif Al Sulaiti.

The Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that the memorandum between the four countries aims for joint cooperation on the strategic development road project.
The memorandum includes the signatory countries developing the necessary frameworks to implement the “Strategic Development Road Project, which will contribute to stimulating economic growth and strengthening regional and international cooperation relations by achieving economic integration and striving towards a sustainable economy between East and West. It will also work to increase international trade, facilitate movement and commerce, and provide A new competitive transportation route, enhancing regional economic prosperity.
