Al Ain Zoo celebrates World Veterinary Day

Al Ain, April 26 / WAM / Al Ain Zoo will celebrate World Veterinary Day tomorrow, which falls on the last Saturday of April every year, as the zoo has witnessed several achievements during its past years in the field of veterinary and animal care, in which it relies on applying the best international standards in this field. .

The veterinary team consists of doctors, assistants and veterinary technicians with specializations who hold certificates in the field of veterinary care, in addition to joining training courses that developed their skills in providing the best veterinary care services for animals of various categories and types in order to ensure the safety and health of the animals. During the last 4 years, 19 people have joined. Students from various universities underwent practical training in the garden.

It is noteworthy that the park, in its latest statistics, announced a total of 2,455 laboratory tests, while vaccinations reached 448 doses, and the total number of animals reached 4,067 of 215 different species.

The efforts of the Life Sciences Department staff at Al Ain Zoo are coming together to ensure continuity of work in the field of animal care, nature conservation, and providing the necessary veterinary care.
