Tomorrow…the sixth conference of the Arab Parliament and the heads of Arab councils to discuss… "Safe recruitment of artificial intelligence"

The sixth conference of the Arab Parliament and heads of Arab councils and parliaments will be held tomorrow at the headquarters of the League of Arab States, under the title “An Arab parliamentary vision for achieving the safe employment of artificial intelligence.” 

 

A statement issued by the Arab Parliament stated that the conference will consider adopting a draft document in its final form, which was submitted by representatives of the heads of Arab councils and parliaments at their preparatory committee meeting in Cairo during the past two days. This is in preparation for submitting it to the next Arab Summit, which is scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the middle of next May. To consider it as a guide in the context of efforts aimed at launching a unified Arab strategy in the field of artificial intelligence.

 

The heads of Arab councils and parliaments began arriving in Egypt to participate in the conference’s work. The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, held a series of meetings with a number of heads of Arab councils and parliaments, who arrived in Cairo. This is for consultation and coordination on the main topic on the agenda of the sixth session of the conference, which is “The Arab Parliamentary Vision for Achieving the Safe Employment of Artificial Intelligence.”

 

The President of the Arab Parliament met – separately – with both From the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al-Ma’awali, and the Speaker of the Djiboutian House of Representatives, Dilita Muhammad Dilita. He also met with Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, Chairman of the Yemeni Shura Council, at his residence in Cairo. To discuss the overall situation in the Arab arena, especially the issue of Arabs and Muslims, the Palestinian issue and the situation in Yemen.
