10 killed in a hotel fire in southern Brazil

Brasilia, April 26, WAM: At least ten people were killed in a fire that broke out in a hotel housing homeless people in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil.

The Rio Grande do Sul State Fire Service stated in a statement that the hotel was operating illegally, explaining that an investigation was underway into the causes of the fire.
