Germany deploys more soldiers to Lithuania

German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said that Germany does not rule out the possibility of deploying an additional military unit in Lithuania.

“In principle, additional troops are available as reinforcements, and at the moment we are negotiating with Lithuania to see exactly what would make sense in this regard,” Lambrecht said.

She stressed that Germany was “already making an important contribution” to Lithuania’s security by leading the NATO Battle Group.
