Gas prices in Europe are up 52%

The cost of gas in Europe rose sharply. According to European stock exchanges, gas today is trading above $ 1560 per thousand cubic meters.

The increase in gas prices was 52%. The main reason for the rise in gas prices is due to the events in Ukraine. After Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aimed at protecting the civilian population in Donbass, according to Russia’s claims.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev also expected an increase in gas prices in Europe to 2,000 euros per 1,000 cubic meters of gas after Germany canceled certification of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
