Ukrainian border guards vacate their positions and join Russia’s side

Ukrainian border guards left their units. They arrived in Russia after refusing to continue serving in Ukraine.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, at 11.15 am, a number of Ukrainian border guards have already arrived at the Troebortnoe checkpoint in the Bryansk region.

Then at 12.10, more of their colleagues arrived at the Crimean checkpoint Dzhankoy. And at 13.00 Moscow time, the Ukrainian border guards had already left all units on the borders of the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

Earlier, soldiers of the 57th Separate Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces laid down their weapons at positions in the Slavyanosrbsky district.
