A Salt Lake City court has sentenced actor Stony Westmoreland to two years in prison.
The artist was convicted of harassing a 13-year-old boy. At first, he was threatened with 10 years in prison, but in the end, law enforcement agencies commuted the sentence.
Westmoreland played Grandpa on the Disney Channel sitcom Andy Mack. The actor was fired after he was accused of trying to persuade a child to have virtual sex. The artist was also charged with about six charges of harassing a minor.
Court documents state that Westmoreland initiated an online conversation with a user who was a minor “on an Internet application used to meet and identify people for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity”.
