Editorials of UAE newspapers

Abu Dhabi, 6 April / WAM / Editorials in local newspapers issued this morning shed light on the efforts made by the UAE since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, to support the Palestinian brothers in all ways and means, to alleviate their suffering, and to help reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire that will put an end to… To shed blood… The editorials also addressed the development and positive trend witnessed by US-Chinese relations.

Under the title “Noble Initiatives,” Al-Ittihad newspaper said that since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, the UAE has spared no effort to support the Palestinian brothers in all ways and means. Specific efforts are being made by the state under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to alleviate their suffering and help reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire that will put an end to the bloodshed.
The newspaper pointed out that the good offices undertaken by the UAE, by land, sea and air, aim to treat the largest number of sick and injured Palestinians, and deliver the largest possible amount of relief aid, especially in northern Gaza, where the areas are isolated and inaccessible, in conjunction with diplomatic communications. Extensive cooperation with relevant regional and international powers and institutions, to end the war.
The newspaper explained that in this context, the UAE’s reception of the 15th batch of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients comes as part of noble initiatives, aiming to provide the best health care to treat a thousand wounded Palestinian children and 1,000 people suffering from cancer from Gaza in state hospitals. The UAE is also treating sick and injured Palestinians in Gaza in the field hospital it established inside the Strip with a capacity of more than 150 beds, and in the UAE floating hospital in the Egyptian port of Arish, which has a capacity of 100 beds, as part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3,” which has so far dropped 1,401 tons of food aid. Regarding international affairs, Al-Khaleej newspaper confirmed in its editorial entitled “China and America…a new phase” that relations between the United States and China are witnessing a new phase, as the phone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden last Tuesday constituted, Which was described as “frank and constructive, an opportunity for the two parties to determine the positions and policies of their countries in the hope of moving to a positive phase in relations, based on the vision of the San Francisco meeting that included the two presidents last November, which laid the foundations for stable relations between the two countries.”

The newspaper indicated that the Chinese President considered the issue of strategic perception fundamental to Sino-American relations, and pointed out the importance of not severing relations between them.

Al-Khaleej added that there is a common intention for both sides to maintain communication and dialogue on the basis of mutual respect and coexistence, manage differences wisely within the framework of competition and non-confrontation, and continue to enhance the positive outlook for bilateral relations, especially since there are large areas in which the two countries can cooperate, in a way that achieves their interests and the interests of the world. In the field of drug control, artificial intelligence, and responding to climate challenges, increasing the pace of people-to-people exchanges, and enhancing communications on international and regional issues.
