Marcel Koller, coach of the first football team at Al-Ahly club, spoke about facing Congolese Mazembe in the midst of the first-leg round of the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

Al-Ahly had been a guest of Mazembe in the midst of a match that ended in a draw. Negative scoreless.

Kohler said in statements during the press conference after the match: “It was a very difficult match. The weather was hot and the players did what they had to do, and there were chances for both teams, and one of them could have won.”< /p>

Regarding his opinion on Mazembe’s victory away from home, he added: “We know that they are two matches. No team scored in today’s match, so the decision will be in Cairo, and certainly nothing has been decided because the result is a draw.”

He continued: “I always want to win and score goals anywhere, but as a coach I know that I will not be able to achieve this in every match, and today we saw two strong teams on the field, and we will prepare for the next match, score goals and qualify.”

He added: “The goalkeeper’s job is to prevent goals from being scored, and today he did his job very well. As for the attackers, unfortunately, they wasted many opportunities, and I hope they make up for that in the second leg.”

He concluded: “ On the plane, I will watch the match again, and I will begin to discover the positive and negative things and talk to the team about them. We will watch other Mazembe matches, and I will communicate with the support staff and the analysis team to be prepared for the next match."
