Raya dialogue sessions and a workshop on the second and closing day of the Fujairah Media Forum 2024

Fujairah, April 26, 2024 – The second day of the Fujairah Media Forum 2024 witnessed several dialogue sessions in which an elite group of Emirati and Arab media professionals participated, while a workshop entitled “Media Influence and How to Attract the Audience” was held.

The first session dealt with the topic of “Traditional Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” with the participation of Raed Barqawi, editor-in-chief of Al-Khaleej newspaper, Alaa Thabet, former editor-in-chief of the Egyptian newspaper “Al-Ahram,” and Ibrahim Al-Mulaifi, editor-in-chief of the Kuwaiti “Al-Arabi” magazine. It was moderated by His Excellency Muhammad Jalal. Al Raisi, Director General of the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The participants talked about the impact of modern technology on the media, the extent of benefiting from artificial intelligence, and future expectations for the state of Arab media in light of the developments taking place. At the end, the participants answered questions from the audience.

As for the second session, it was entitled “The Podcast…The Next Radio,” in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Federation for Bodybuilding and Physical Strength, and in which Rasha Al Deeb from Egypt, Muhammad Al Hinai from the Sultanate of Oman, and Menna Al Badr from the Emirates participated.

The session was moderated by Sheikha Al-Mismari. The dialogue dealt with the meaning of podcasting, and how can one benefit from it? Will it affect traditional radio?

Also within the dialogue sessions, a third session was held entitled “Young Tweeters… Heroes of Modern Media”, in which Al-Futun Al-Janahi, who is interested in social affairs, Taha Muharram, who is interested in cultural and social affairs, and Saif Al-Dhahab, a media graduate and content maker interested in culture and societal conditions, participated. She moderated the session. Mahra Al-Dhanhani, Director of the Government Communications Team at the Fujairah Government Media Office.

A workshop was also held entitled “Media Influence and How to Attract the Audience,” presented by Emirati journalist and training consultant Mahra Al-Yaqoubi, in the presence of a large number of media professionals, interested parties, and guests of the forum.

It is noteworthy that the “Fujairah Media Forum 2024, Parallel Media… Aspirations and Visions”, concluded its two-day sessions, and included various dialogue and practical activities in which an elite group of Emirati and Arab media professionals participated.
