British rock star Gary Brooker has died

Procol Harum representatives have reported that British rock star Gary Brooker. He died on February 19. He was recently treated for cancer.

At the age of 14, Gary Brooker founded his first music group, Paramounts. In 1964, this group signed a contract with the record company EMI Records, but soon the group dissolved.

In 1966, Brooker created a new group called Procol Harum. The following year, the band released their most famous single, A Whiter Shade of Pale. In 2009, British radio stations said the song was the most played in the last 75 years.

Gary Brooker has also toured with Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr, where he has played with Paul McCartney, Bill Wyman, George Harrison and other famous British musicians. In June 2003, Brooker was awarded the OBE Medal for his charitable work.
