Zelensky’s wife asked for air defense systems from the US Congress

The wife of the Ukrainian president, Elena Zelenskaya, speaking before the US Congress, requested assistance to Ukraine in the form of air defense systems.

Elena said, “I’m asking for something I never want to ask. I’m asking you for weapons, weapons that can be used…to protect your home and your right to wake up alive in this house.”

Zelenskaya also demanded that this issue be resolved immediately, since the council will soon go on vacation.

On the same day, Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvidas Anosuskas announced that he intends to transfer M113 and M577 armored personnel carriers and ammunition to Ukraine “in the near future”, and also sent his trainers to train personnel of the Ukrainian army.
