The Irish Embassy in the country celebrates its National Day.

Abu Dhabi, April 21 / WAM / Her Excellency Alison Milton, Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to the UAE, held a reception this evening on the occasion of her country’s National Day.

In her speech on this occasion, the Irish Ambassador praised the wise policy of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the strong cooperation relations that bind the two countries at all levels. The Irish Ambassador explained that the UAE is considered the second trading partner in the region for the Republic of Ireland.

The ceremony, which was held at the ambassador’s home, was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Al-Saghira Al-Ahbabi, Director of the American Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of officials and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the country, a number of Irish businessmen and members of the Irish community residing in the country.

The ceremony also included dances from Irish heritage and Irish music.
