Three soldiers killed in an explosion in southeast Turkey

At least three Turkish soldiers were killed in an explosion in the southeast of the country.
According to the information received, the explosion occurred while a military vehicle was passing through a border post.

“They were killed in the explosion of an explosive device planted by terrorists in Akcakale district of Sanliurfa province… We express our condolences to the Turkish Armed Forces and our noble people,” the Defense Ministry said, adding that another soldier was wounded.

Sanliurfa Governor Abdullah Ari went to the scene.

The Ministry of Defense published the names and titles of the victims. The governor of Ashakali district, Ultan Bayraktar, representatives of the regional administration of family, social policy and the army passed on personal information about the soldiers’ deaths to the families of the victims.
