Britain begins evacuating embassy staff in Kiev

The BBC writes that the UK has begun evacuating about half of the embassy’s staff from Kiev. The decision was made against the background of reports of a possible “Russian invasion”.

According to representatives of the British Foreign Office, there were no specific threats to diplomats, but it was decided that about half of the staff working in Kiev will return to the UK. The diplomatic mission in Kiev will continue its work.
