More than 415 million individuals from 55 countries have benefited from the King Salman Relief Center’s projects in the health, nutrition, water and environmental sanitation sectors. The Center provided financial support to save the lives of cancer patients among Syrian refugees in Jordan and cover their treatment costs, while strengthening health care services for Syrian refugees and the community. The host is in the town of Arsal in the Lebanese Baalbek Governorate, through access to free health care services and community and psychological awareness.

 

 

And in the field of water and sanitation projects. Environmental: The King Salman Relief Center provided sources of safe and pure water suitable for drinking and human use in the communities most in need, through drilling and developing water wells, in addition to treating wastewater. It also worked to dispose of waste and rubbish in a safe and healthy manner to limit the spread of diseases and epidemics, and to enhance hygiene. The center also implemented nutritional projects in a number of beneficiary countries to combat malnutrition in children. Pregnant and lactating women, preparing many health facilities to treat malnutrition, and implementing awareness campaigns about a healthy diet and ways to prevent malnutrition to reduce the mortality rate for less than five years in some countries.

 

 On this day, the King Salman Relief Center celebrates World Health Day because of the great importance of this sector in preserving and caring for human life.
