Margot Robbie replaces Johnny Depp in new Pirates of the Caribbean movie
Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer said another character could replace Jack Sparrow in the franchise’s new films.
In a comment to The Wrap, he stressed that Johnny Depp’s return to the project is unlikely.
“But the future is not yet set,” Bruckheimer said.
According to the producer, actress Margot Robbie may be approved for a lead role in Pirates of the Caribbean 6. Currently, the filmmakers have two scripts in development, one with Robbie.
Depp was dropped from the franchise after his ex-wife Amber Heard accused him of domestic violence.
Earlier it was reported that the actor lost $22.5 million, as he lost his role in the new movie “Pirates”.
